Frequently asked questions
How will counselling sessions take place?
Your counselling sessions can take place in person in Newport, Shropshire or Wolverhampton. Alternatively, sessions are available online via Doxy.me, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, or by telephone—whichever suits you best.
Home visits and sessions at sports club training facilities can also be arranged upon request.
How long do therapy sessions take?
Typically therapy sessions last 50 minutes. We can occasionally book in longer or shorter sessions if you need them.
How many counselling sessions will I need?
I offer complete flexibility around the number of sessions, which will be tailored to suit your individual needs. Everyone’s counselling experience is unique. While many people find that 8–10 sessions bring about meaningful change, others may benefit from more or fewer sessions.
Ongoing ‘top-up’ sessions can also be arranged as needed, providing continued support over time, which many clients find reassuring and helpful.
How often should I have counselling?
Ideally, having sessions every 1–2 weeks tends to support more effective results. However, everyone is different, and I’m happy to arrange our therapy sessions around what works best for you and your individual needs.
My approach is centred on you, and our sessions will always be based on your psychotherapy and counselling needs.
